FORA.tv will present a free live stream of a lively Intelligence Squared U.S. debate that considers whether or not Obamacare is beyond rescue. Arguing in favor of the motion are Dr. Scott Gottlieb and Megan McArdle, against Jonathan Chait and Dr. Douglas Kamerow.
WHAT: FORA.tv, the leading online destination for video programs from the world’s best conferences and events, will broadcast the Intelligence Squared U.S. (IQ2US) Oxford-style debate, “Obamacare is Now Beyond Rescue.”
With the disastrous launch of the HealthCare.gov website, critics of the Affordable Care Act, or “Obamacare,” were given more fuel for the fire. Is this political hot potato’s inevitability once again at stake? And is the medical community really on board with the law, or resisting (rewriting?) it from the sidelines?
WHEN: Wednesday, January 15th at 6:45 pm EST
WHERE: The debate will be streamed live at intelligencesquaredus.fora.tv. The debate will be interactive with a live chat and Twitter feed following the conversation around the event. Online viewers will also be able to vote along with the live audience members, sharing their opinion before the debate starts and at the conclusion once all arguments are heard. Following the live event, FORA.tv will offer the debate as a free on-demand program, and the full video and highlights will be available to share and embed.
