Biography

Alex Chernov is an Australian jurist. Mr Chernov became a barrister in 1968, practicing mostly in commercial and administrative law. He was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1980. In 1997 he was appointed to the Supreme Court of Victoria, and in 1998 to the Court of Appeal, replacing Justice Susan Kenny. He is the Chancellor of the University of Melbourne.
