Akella has comprehensive and wide experience in IT architecture and management as well as enterprise application software. Akella's recent client experiences include: leading IT architecture improvements for a large financial services company; leading the IT cost optimization effort for a major pharmaceutical company; assessing product and technology distinctiveness of a leading ERP solutions provider. Prior to joining McKinsey, Akella was an Engineer Scientist and Technical Contributor at Hewlett Packard. Akella received a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
