Biography
Hashem Bajwa is Digital Strategy Director for Goodby, Silverstein & Partners in San Francisco.
His role ranges from working with clients to create strategies for their digital marketing, to leading the agency's partnerships in Silicon Valley, to working within the agency to shape new creative canvases with technology. He works across all accounts at the agency, primarily focusing on Frito-Lay and PepsiCo brands as well as HP, where he is part of the worldwide strategy council.
Hashem also leads GSP's innovation programs with a team of planners, producers and researchers who together look outward for new opportunities where culture and technology intersect. In 2008 the team formed "The Innovation Salon" a regular gathering of leaders in technology and media with the agency's clients and partners from across industries.
His career began at the United Nations working on global communications and in 2003 he moved into advertising at McCann Erickson until joining Goodby in 2005.
Hashem studied international affairs at New School University in New York and brand strategy at Art Center College of Design.
In 2007 Hashem was the youngest person to be named in AdAge's "40 Under 40 to Watch".
He writes a monthly column for Brand Republic's Revolution in the UK and contributes regularly to AdAge's Digital Next and his own blog Brain Sells. He's also an associate member of TED and a contributer to Kiva among other programs.
