Ismail Agayev, Ph. D. has written two books on current political and cultural developments in the Middle East and the Caucasus region. A professor of philosophy and history of religion, he worked at major educational institutions throughout the USSR and Russia, chaired the Department of Islamic Philosophy and Culture at the Academy of Science, Baku, Azerbaijan, from 1993 to 1999. In the USA, he taught at multiple special universities' courses throughout California.
