Biography

Joseph B. Gildenhorn was named chairman of the board of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in June 2002. He is a widely respected diplomat and businessman. In 1989, he was appointed by former President George Bush to serve as the United States Ambassador to Switzerland where he served until 1993.
