Biography

Scott Johnson is the President and Founder of the Myelin Repair Foundation (MRF), created in 2002 for the sole purpose of accelerating the rate of discovery and translation of myelin repair drug targets leading to treatments for multiple sclerosis. MRF is among the first non-profit disease research organizations to successfully infuse best business practices, including ongoing management oversight, into the process of academic scientific discovery. Mr. Johnson holds an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley Haas School of Business, and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of California, Davis. In 2006, he was named as one of Scientific American magazine’s top 50 worldwide for business, science and policy leadership.
