Nora Abousteit is co-founder of BurdaStyle, an open source sewing community, which she runs with her business partner Benedikta Karaisl von Karais. She is also in the staff of Dr. Hubert Burda and was part of the organizing team for the DLD conference 2005 and 2006 as well as for several World Economic Forum related events for Hubert Burda Media. Before her career in Media, she worked in Business Development and Corporate Marketing for a large Kuwaiti food processing company in Cairo, Egypt, where she also received a degree in Middle East Studies from the American University in Cairo.
