Senator Richard Burr is the sponsor of the Every American Insured Act, a proposed legislation on healthcare reform. Elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1994, he established himself as a passionate legislator on health care issues and worked to restore accountability to the federal government. As a North Carolina Senator, he is dedicated to finding common-sense solutions to increase access to affordable, quality health care for all North Carolina families. Senator Burr is a vocal advocate for our men and women in the military and their families, and for the growing population of veterans across North Carolina. He serves as the ranking member of the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee working to improve the quality of health care and service veterans receive. Senator Burr also sits on the Senate Intelligence Committee; the Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee; the Energy and Natural Resources Committee; and the Indian Affairs Committee.
