David Monsma is the executive director of the Energy and Environment Program at the Aspen Institute. Previously he was an assistant professor of law and social responsibility, teaching law and ethics in the Sellinger School of Business and Management at Loyola College in Maryland. He was also director of business and environment at Business for Social Responsibility in San Francisco, and he served as the environmental management task force coordinator for the President's Council on Sustainable Development. He managed the environment program at the Council on Economic Priorities in New York City and was staff counsel and director of the Pollution Prevention Project for the Environmental Action Foundation in Washington, DC.
