Biography
Dov S. Zakheim is a vice president of Booz Allen Hamilton, Inc., where he focuses on the firm's global defense practice.
From 2001 to April 2004 he served as the undersecretary of Defense (comptroller) and chief financial officer for the Department of Defense (DoD), managing the world's largest budgets. Dr. Zakheim was also DoD's coordinator of civilian programs in Afghanistan and international fund raiser in support of Iraqi reconstruction. Additionally, Zakheim has been corporate vice president of System Planning Corporation, a technology, research, and analysis firm; chief executive officer of the subsidiary SPC International Corp.; senior foreign policy advisor to then-Governor George W. Bush; and deputy undersecretary of Defense for Planning and Resources. Zakheim has held a variety of other DoD posts.
He has served on a number of government, corporate, nonprofit, and charitable boards and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Defense Business Board, which he helped establish, as well as the chief of the Naval Operations Executive Panel.
