Biography

Ambassador Edward L. Peck has served as Executive Secretary of the American Academy of Diplomacy, and as Chairman of Political Tradecraft Programs at the National Foreign Affairs Training Center. Ambassador Peck was Deputy Director of the Cabinet Task Force on Terrorism under the Reagan Administration, and served at the State Department as Deputy Coordinator for global covert intelligence programs, Special Assistant to the Under Secretary for Political Affairs, and Director of Egyptian Affairs. He has served as Chief of Mission in Iraq and Mauritania, and as an embassy officer in Sweden, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, and Egypt.
