Maurizio Molinari is the US correspondent of the Italian national daily newspaper La Stampa. Prior he was the EU correspondent in Brussels and the diplomatic correspondent in Rome. He arrived at La Stampa in 1997. Since 1984, when he began his career as a journalist, he has covered foreign affairs and defense for La Voce Repubblicana, Il Tempo, L'Indipendente, L'Opinione, Il Foglio and the magazine Panorama. In the last ten years Molinari has reported on assignment from the Balkans, the Middle East, Iraq, Iran, North Africa, Turkey and the Horn of Africa. He regularly comments for La7 tv on Foreign Policy and US events.
