Michael Cox is a British academic and international relations scholar. He is currently a professor of international relations at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where he is Co-Director of the Cold War Studies Centre (CWSC). Professor Michael Cox has lectured at Queen's University, Belfast (1972-1995), California State University at San Diego (1986), The College of William and Mary in Virginia (1987-1989), the Department of International Politics, Aberystwyth (1995-2001), The Catholic University of Milan (2003 and 2004) and the University of Melbourne (2004). In 2003 and 2004 he was a visiting professor at the Centre for Defence and Strategic Studies in Canberra, Australia. He was appointed to a Chair at LSE in 2003.
