Biography

Daniel is an Oscar and Emmy nominated documentary filmmaker with an extraordinary ability to elicit genuine emotion and create empathy with his audience.  His feature films include: Chiefs – Winner of the Tribeca Film Festival and broadcast on PBS, Iron Ladies of Liberia – Premiered at the Toronto Film Festival and aired on PBS, BBC and 50 other broadcasters, and They Killed Sister Dorothy – Audience and Jury Winner of South by Southwest Film Festival, broadcast on HBO and Emmy nominated for outstanding long-form investigative journalism.  Junge has made over a dozen other films and television programs, including The Last Campaign of Governor Booth Gardner, nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Short. Recently, Daniel has taken his filmmaking talents into the commercial world with the award-winning branded film Why We Fly for Frontier Airlines, a series of anti-smoking broadcast PSAs for the state of Wyoming, and new projects for CenturyLink and Steelcase.
