Lorenzo Albanello is a synthetic biologist who studies therapies for human rejuvenation. Previously he was a developer of knowledge bases in bioinformatics for an Italian corporation with the aim of translating human scientific knowledge into shared formats that can enable artificial intelligence. He is also interested in bio-hacking and DIY scientific hardware. In all his experiences he realized how the scientific research rate and quality will be dramatically boosted by greater openness, and this led him to actively join the Open Science movement.
