Nicolas Rohatyn is partner, CEO, and chief investment officer of The Rohatyn Group. Based in New York, he oversees overall strategy and management of the firm. Previously, Rohatyn was at J. P. Morgan for 19 years, where he held a variety of leadership positions in emerging markets, foreign exchange, commodities, credit markets, and e-commerce functions. He served as a member of J. P. Morgan’s executive management team for five years. As managing director and head of emerging markets sales, trading, and research, Rohatyn built and restructured the division from a loan-based business to an integrated and diversified sales, trading, and capital markets effort. During his tenure there, J. P. Morgan established its widely acknowledged leadership position in emerging markets securities distribution, trading, and research. Rohatyn was a founder and former chairman of the Emerging Markets Traders Association.
