About Me:

I am a 35 year old Cuban American, Who came from Cuba at the age of 7. Lived most of my life, were most Cubans that come from Cuba do, in south Florida, and also lived a couple of years in Chicago and Norfolk, VA. Since the time I arrived from Cuba, I have been real fortunate to live in a free country, and a society that has allowed me to express my every opinion. That being said, not every opinion is respected or accepted, when we consider evolution, instead of intelligent design, for example. But, that is another BIG issue!. Although I am not a College Graduate, I do have 120 college credits, and a couple of semesters away from a Aviation and a Power Plants License. In 1996, I lived the darkest days of my life, were I was homeless for a couple of months and decided to join the U.S. Navy. I joined the U.S. Navy on June 27, 1996 at the tender age of 23 and stayed in for 4 years. My new military life not only gave me a place to live, but also a new family and a lot of respect for the brave man and women of the United States military. I was Honorably discharged in 2000, were I reunited with my family, and found myself fortunate to be with them once again. Not soon after that, I meet my beautiful wife and had two beautiful daughters. In 2005, I decided that the job I was in was not secured and retirement was not guaranteed. So, I decided, with permission from the wife of course, to join the U.S. Coast Guard. In 2005, I joined the U.S. Coast Guard were I am stationed in Washington state. I guess this is more than " a few details about myself ", but I what can I say, is what I love about this country, free expression!.
