This week FORA.tv Studios launched its first original video series, “Pot Goes Public.” The series provides different perspectives on the business prospects for legal marijuana through interviews with key industry players.
The first video in the series, “Profits from Pot: Investing and Legalization,” was released on Monday March 31, and has quickly become our most popular video of the week. The program features a conversation with Christian Groh, COO and co-founder of Privateer Holdings, a private equity firm focused on the cannabis marketplace. Hosted by Michael Montgomery, reporter and producer at The Center for Investigative Reporting and KQED Public Radio, the conversation covers the evolution of the pot industry, and the business opportunities that Privateer Holdings has pursued.
The second video in the series will feature a conversation with Sir Richard Branson, a member of the Global Commission on Drug Policy and founder of the Virgin Group. The program will be released on Monday April 7.
FORA.tv Studios is the production arm of FORA.tv and provides a professional media studio to produce video of how-to demos, product announcements, roundtable discussions, fundraising campaigns, film and book trailers, webcasts, and more. The studio is equipped with multiple 1080 HD cameras, a lighting grid, drapery, audio kits and video switching equipment that provide a turnkey solution for creating live or on-demand video.
FORA.tv Studios sees the “Pot Goes Public” original series as yet another example of how its media studio can help its partners leverage the power of online video. Prior to the launch of FORA.tv Studios, the company’s original programming consisted largely of creating custom videos with underwriting from corporations like Mercedes-Benz, Intel and Hiscox, as well as performing work-for-hire arrangements with national media companies.
