Every year in late August, the world of conferences and public events takes a long nap as summer fades into Labor Day and people flee the heat. When it begins anew, it happens with a bang: The fall political season rolls into action, universities launch a new academic year, and businesses begin hunting for new learning and efficiency. And as this happens, FORA.tv is called upon to provide a full spectrum of video production, live streaming, and distribution services.
This Fall is no different. We’re proud to provide services to a packed schedule of events showcasing the most pressing policy debates, the latest in technology innovation, and new debuts in distant locations. Below is a sampling of what our event partners have planned for the initial weeks of this busy season:
The Wall Street Journal says that Intelligence Squared U.S. debates are “always intelligent and provocative.” We at FORA.tv couldn’t agree more as we have watched them become a major player in the game of ideas, consistently delivering informative discussions in the Oxford debate style, which manages to be both civil and combative at once. Their first debate of the new season – “Embrace the Common Core” – is today, September 9, at 6:45 PM ET, and can be watched live on FORA.tv.
From its inception, the National Journal has been of the most reliable sources for information on American politics and policy discussion. In recent years it has expanded its reach with live video streaming of its policy events. The NJ launched FORA.tv’s fall season on September 3 with a lively discussion on the American economy, and follows on September 10 with a stellar panel on ways to empower women in the 21st century.
With a growing national and international events portfolio, AtlanticLIVE will travel outside the Beltway to New Orleans on September 10, Philadelphia on September 23, Detroit on October 7, and then break new ground with an event in Abu Dhabi onNovember 25. AtlanticLIVE also adds an encore to last year’s award-winning CityLab event, this one in Los Angeles on September 29.
Looking into October, we’re extremely pleased to partner with, for the first time, PopTech for its 2014 “Rebellion” event, the 18th iteration of one of the tech world’s iconic gatherings. This year’s will be hosted by the noted design innovator and academic, John Maeda. In bringing the spirit of constructive rebellion to the stage, the lineup features innovators from across the spectrum of public life – including General Stanley A. McChrystal, celebrity DJ Donna D’Cruz, and Regina Duncan, Google’s VP of Engineering.
There isn’t nearly enough space here to review all, or even most, of the groundbreaking conferences, events, and public conversations that FORA.tv will be serving this Fall, so please check our weekly newsletter to stay abreast of the world’s best conferences and events. As always, we’re humbled and excited to have the opportunity to help such an exceptional group of partners reach new audiences with video production, distribution and monetization services. We hope you’ll visit FORA.tv often in the coming weeks.
