Michael Adrian

Michael Adrian

Director of Post Production

Michael directs the Post Production side of FORA.tv, managing a top-notch team of video editors. His background has roots in the Silicon Valley, born and raised in the shadow of some well-known Cupertino tech companies. Education took him through De Anza College, UC Santa Barbara, a year studying abroad in the University of Bologna, resulting in a degree in film studies. After a brief sojourn in the wine retail business, Michael joined FORA in 2007. He still maintains a healthy interest in our local viticulture and what would probably be considered an unhealthy interest in the Eurovision Song Contest.

Anni Annunziata

Anni Annunziata

Manager of Design and UI

Anni has led FORA.tv’s design services since 2008. She joined the company while completing her MFA at the Academy of Art in San Francisco, where she studied web development, user experience, branding strategy, and infographic design. Prior to FORA.tv, Anni worked as a graphic designer for various industries including sports, technology, hospitality, and even an ammunition manufacturing company in her Idaho hometown. She fled the farm fields of Idaho for the City by the Bay, becoming a Giants and 49ers fan on arrival. When she’s not staring at a computer screen, she’s attempting to learn Italian and entertaining her golden retriever, Doug.

CEO and President

Like so many record executives, Bob’s entree into the music business was driven by the decision to quit performing and jump into the business side of the industry. He went from guitar riffing to principal of the New York City club, The Knitting Factory, to doing A & R for Windham Hill, to Vice President of A & R and Creative Services at Six Degrees Records in San Francisco. Aside from signing acts and producing records, Bob spearheaded the digital music sales efforts at Six Degrees, driving production, content creation, website construction and e-commerce systems, as well as partnerships with digital distributors such as iTunes, Emusic, and Ioda. Bob’s passion for global issues, digital media, and classic-rock lyrics, made him a perfect fit as a member of the founding team.

Julia started as a Summer intern, before working her way up to becoming a full time employee following graduation from Bryn Mawr College. When not assistant managing/social media coordinating, she is trying to cut back on binge-watching old television shows on Netflix and read more books.

Mishal started her career as an Auditor. She likes to work in industries where she is surrounded by creative people doing exciting things, like FORA.tv. She was the Director of Accounting for a company founded by a famous tv show chef and appeared on an episode of his Food Network tv show, as well as appearing in the catalogs (she sat on a stool – best selling item ever!). Mishal also worked as Corporate Controller for an international e-commerce company that specialized in movie action figures and cartoons and worked with FORA.tv’s Bob Appel at Six Degrees Records. A native Californian, her father was in the navy, so they traveled a lot, even living in Cuba for several years. Mishal has a BS in Bus Admin/Accounting, an MS in Human Resources and took Shakespeare and Modern theatre classes at the University of London. She enjoys jogging, kayaking, hiking, fine wines and football.

A computer wizard with a background in computer security and maintaining systems. When not working or playing on computers, a large portion of his free time is spent as non-skating official for roller derby.

Liam is a copywriter and reporter from Wallkill, New York. He graduated from Ithaca College with a degree in writing, and is now a half-marathoner, a volunteer at 826 Valencia, and bookworm living in Oakland, California.

Staci, a native Las Vegan (they do exist!), began her addiction to video editing as a young teenager and is still just as passionate for her craft. Now a proud Bay-area resident, she has edited everything from award-winning short-form web content, commercials, festival-premiering indie feature films and quirky music videos. In her free time she can be found honing her photography skills or finding inspiration in the various nooks and crannies that her beloved San Francisco has to offer. She feels lucky every day to have the opportunity to help tell and find stories.

Andrew is the Director of Sales at FORA.tv. Dreams drive his ambition and these dreams have taken him from the small town of Wilderness in South Africa, to the heart of San Francisco. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing from Stellenbosch University, spent a semester studying at West Virginia University, and has worked in various industries including Aerospace and Defense, Medical and Skin Care, Finance, Education, Retail, Digital Publishing and New Media. When he is not working, you’ll probably find him watching the South African cricket team with his dachshund, Rolo.

Director of Production Operations

Fletcher was born on a cold winter’s day in March 1916 in Farmington Michigan. In his younger years he mastered the arts of home movies. In his teens he started making VHS narrative films with plots, characters and some minor special effects. In 2008 he made the quest to California to become the next Coppola. After a year of film school, he worked his way through the vast rankings of the film industry PA to grip, best boy, gaffer and moved on to the great art of cinematography. After shooting some award winning feature films, shorts, music videos and commercials, he has moved onto the wonderful world of producing live production. Fletcher is always on the quest to make the best creative content for all future projects coming his way.

Marketing and Client Relations Manager

Liz is a project manager for FORA.tv and offers consultation, coordination and creative planning to partners before, during and after each event. She also plays a role in FORA.tv’s B2B marketing initiatives and various syndication partnerships. Originally from Ohio, Liz graduated from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in communication with an emphasis in public relations. After graduation, she moved to San Francisco and gained experience in the PR agency world before joining the FORA.tv team.

Shaun has distinguished himself as a jack of all trades with smart execution and an unstoppable quest for knowledge. He is the acting overlord to FORA.tv’s servers. Outside of work Shaun digs into various forms of hardware hacking.

Josh Howard graduated from Rowan University with a B.A. in Radio/TV/Film, and concentrations in both Creative Writing and New Media. Hailing from Central Jersey, he has grown and developed over the years to accumulate a wide range of experience in the television, film, and live event industries. His unique perspective on life and production allows him to effectively assist in managing Fora.tv’s portfolio as Production Coordinator. When he isn’t handling FORA’s logistical needs at the East Coast base of operations, Josh performs spoken word poetry and occasionally hosts poetry slams and open mics in the greater New York area. In addition, he likes writing, snowboarding, and connecting with people to learn more about humanity as a whole. Josh is always willing to travel farther, work harder, and learn more in the pursuit of his aspirations, and is excited to bring that drive to FORA.tv.

Will is a private venture investor with an interest in the application of technology to the media sector. In 1995 he joined the venture capital firm of Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers as a partner. He continues to work with KPCB as an affiliated partner. In addition to his KPCB portfolio boards, he was named, in 2013, chairman of the Hearst Corporation. He also sits on the board of the Hearst-Argyle Television and FORA.tv.

Additionally, Will has served on the board of trustees of the Hearst Foundation since 1993. In 2003, he was named President of the Foundation. He is an active trustee on several not-for-profit boards, including the California Academy of Sciences, Carnegie Institution of Washington, Friends of Mathematics at Harvard University, San Francisco Film Society, and The Hamlin School.

Will was editor and publisher of the San Francisco Examiner from 1984 until 1995. He is a 1972 graduate of Harvard University, holding an AB degree in Mathematics.

Charlie is currently CEO Susfugo Inc., a cloud-based visual computing company. Before that he was the Interim CEO (as well as its VP of Operations) of Onlive, a cloud based gaming company. Prior to than Charlie has served as President and CEO then Executive Chairman of Myrio a company that enabled the telephone industry to deliver consumer quality digital video into the home. Before that, he was Chief Operating Officer of Geocast Network Systems a data broadcasting startup based in the Silicon Valley. He served as Vice President of Engineering and Technology at the NBC network for 16 years. His responsibilities included Owned Stations Operations and Engineering, Strategic Technology and Network Distribution and Olympics. He serves on several Boards, including Western Broadcasting of Puerto Rico, DuArt Laboratories, and Kindheart and as an advisory to various startup companies. Charlie is a past President and currently a Fellow of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers. He is chair-emeritus of the Emmy Awards Committee for Science and Technology. He currently serves as a venture advisor to Allegis Capital and various media, technology and investment funds as well as an Executive in Residence at Plug and Play. He has been award eight Emmys for his Olympics work and he also serves on the advisory board for the School of Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Board Advisor

Don is a business executive and communications strategist with experience in new media, television, public policy and journalism. Based in Washington, D.C., he is Worldwide Chair and Chief Executive Officer of the strategic communications firm Burson-Marsteller and Chairman of the research firm Penn, Schoen & Berland, both WPP, Inc. companies.

Previously, he was a member of the Executive Committee and Senior Executive Vice President, Strategy and Development of Discovery Communications, home of the Discovery Channel; he launched or acquired numerous media businesses and produced award-winning programs. In the 1990s, he served President Clinton as both White House Director of Strategic Planning and Communications and Chief Speechwriter. He was a top editor at U.S. News & World Report, covering national politics and managing news staffs. A former media lawyer, Baer serves on several for-profit and not-for-profit boards, including the PBS Foundation Board of Trustees.

Sean Doherty

Sean is the founder of Odyssey Management Capital. He founded Odyssey in 2002 with the goal of acquiring technology and telecom businesses that, at that time, most investors viewed as “out of favor.” During 2003-2005, Odyssey completed the acquisition and consolidation of a group of fiber and wireless telecom companies. In 2006, Odyssey sold this wholesale broadband fiber business, Progress Telecom, to Level3 Communications. Sean is best known for his role as founding COO of @Home, the giant broadband services company. Later, Sean became president of the company’s business services division @Work.

In 1984 Sean was the Founder and CEO of Tradenet, where he developed one of the world’s first instant-messaging products and built an installed base of trading and brokerage customers that ultimately spanned 20 countries. In 1992 he founded Team Software where he developed the first IM product for private corporate networks and the Internet. Sean was the Chairman of Progress Telecom before its sale to Level3. He is currently the Chairman of Channels.com.

Milo Medin

Milo has been part of the Internet development community for more than 25 years. He is currently the vice president of access services at Google, where he oversees the company’s Gigabit Fiber to the Home project and other efforts to improve access to the Internet.

Prior to joining Google in 2010, he was founder and CTO of M2Z Networks, a company that sought to deploy a national broadband wireless network system that will expand consumer network access by providing nationwide portable broadband service.

He was coFounder and the Chief Technology Officer of Excite@Home, where he led the development of the company’s national infrastructure and helped deliver the first large-scale residential broadband access service in partnership with major cable operators.

Earlier, Milo worked at NASA’s Ames Research Center, where he managed the primary West Coast interconnect for the Internet, and architected and managed the global NASA Science Internet. Before NASA, while enrolled at UC Berkeley, he worked at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, programming high-performance computers in support of various Defense Programs.

Milo holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from UC Berkeley. He has participated in a number of public policy forums, including two National Academy of Sciences panels and a variety of TechNet initiatives, and given testimony in Congress and before the Federal Communications Commission on Broadband technology policy. He has received two patents in the field of network access technology.

Tom Paquin

A Silicon Valley veteran, Tom provides vision, expertise and leadership to the technology research and development effort at OnLive as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. With more than 20 years of management experience at leading technology companies, Tom has a successful track record of turning new ideas into technology products that become household names.

Most notably, Tom helped found Netscape—the company that popularized Web browsing—and was named its first fellow. During his tenure at Netscape, Tom led the engineering of browsers and servers for Netscape 1.0 and 2.0, and spearheaded many innovative initiatives, such as the development of SSL and Web “cookies.” He later founded Mozilla.org, the not-for-profit company responsible for such successful software as the Firefox Web browser and the Thunderbird email application.
