Donald is SapientNitro’s Chief Experience officer, and the global lead for SapientNitro’s Experience Design practice. Over the course of his 17 years as an experience designer, he has worked with some of the world’s leading brands, including Disney, HSBC, Target, Wall Street Journal, Bed Bath & Beyond, United Airlines, BP, Citibank, Associated Press, Hilton International, UBS, Sprint, PetSmart, JetBlue, Staples, and Unilever.
Jamyn Edis is vice president, Emerging Technology R&D, for Home Box Office, responsible for creating technology and business strategies around emerging digital and consumer trends. This includes assessing the impact of new content creation tools and distribution methods and consumption devices such as those in the areas of online video, social media, 3D, interactive TV, augmented reality, sports technology, mobile applications, next-generation content, gaming, digital advertising and search. In addition, Edis is responsible for prototype product development, including the launch of HBO Sports’ PunchZone and PunchForce technologies on the HBO network and web. He was named to this position in 2007.
Prior to HBO, Edis worked as a strategy consultant for Accenture’s Media & Entertainment Practice in London and New York from 1998 to 2007. His engagements focused on the media, digital convergence and communications space, and spanned the music, videogames, television, publishing, sports, internet, social networking, cable, telematics, consumer electronics, and fixed and wireless telecoms sectors. Clients included Fox/MySpace, Time Warner Cable, Sprint, Rogers Media, British Telecom, EMI, Warner Music, PlayStation and Sony corporate.
Scott is a clinical professor at the NYU Stern School of Business where he teaches brand strategy and luxury marketing and is the founder of L2, a think tank for digital innovation. Scott is also the founder of Firebrand Partners, an operational activist firm that has invested more than $1 billion in U.S. consumer and media companies. In 1997, he founded Red Envelope, an Internet-based branded consumer gift retailer. In 1992, Scott founded Prophet, a brand strategy consultancy that employs more than 120 professionals in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Scott was elected to the World Economic Forum’s “Global Leaders of Tomorrow,” which recognizes 100 individuals under the age of 40 “whose accomplishments have had impact on a global level.”
Scott has served on the boards of directors of Eddie Bauer (Nasdaq: EBHI), The New York Times Company (NYSE: NYT), Gateway Computer, eco-America, and UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. He received a B.A. from UCLA and an M.B.A. from UC Berkeley.
Jason Helfstein is Managing Director and Senior Internet Analyst. His coverage includes Consumer Internet, eCommerce, Online Advertising and Digital Media. Jason has been with the firm since 2002, previously covering Media and Advertising as well before moving solely into the Internet space. Prior to Oppenheimer, Jason worked at Salomon Smith Barney on the Institutional Investor ranked broadcasting and cable research group. He is a top analyst according to the Wall Street Journal's annual 2010 poll, and received similar recognition from Forbes Magazine in 2009. Jason began his career in equity research at Schroder Wertheim. He holds dual B.A. degrees from Syracuse University.
Mar is CEO and co-founder of Revel Touch, the first "touch-first" e-commerce platform. Mar founded the company on the belief that mobile commerce will soon dominate retail at-home and in-store. The Revel Touch Merchandising Suite was built on the further belief that touch-based computing demands a re-conception of the shopping experience. The platform launched last November and early results show a 1.5-4x multiple on all core e-commerce metrics.
Prior to founding Revel Touch, Mar revolutionized the semiconductor industry through her work with analog circuit design. She received the prestigious TR100 Young Investigator Award from MIT and a Fast 50 Award from Fast Company. She was also named one of the top 10 women in microelectronics by EETimes and received the prestigious Marie Pistilli Women in EDA lifetime achievement award. In 2012, Mar won the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal’s Women of Influence Award for her contributions to business, technology and her involvement in the community.
Mar is also a Consulting Professor at Stanford University, teaching analog circuit design courses. Mar graduated with honors with a B.S. in electrical engineering from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas in Madrid, Spain, and received her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Stanford University. She has been awarded eight patents and has several other patents pending.
