Stefanie DiRienzo Smith is President of Calypso St. Barth, the international luxury lifestyle brand known for its effortlessly chic women’s apparel and unique home products. She oversees
design, merchandising and marketing for the brand and its 35 retail boutiques.
Since joining the company in 2010, Ms. Smith has overseen the opening of eight new Calypso St. Barth boutiques in key markets, including Greenwich, Scottsdale, Houston, Nashville, Charleston and Atlanta. This October, she will oversee the opening of her ninth when Calypso St. Barth opens a boutique at the Marin Country Mart in Northern California.
In 2011, Ms. Smith introduced the Calypso St. Barth lifestyle to millions of new consumers by partnering with Target to create an affordable, limited-edition "Calypso St. Barth for Target" collection. It included more than 200 items across seven product categories, including women’s, home, fragrance, jewelry, and kids.
This past spring, Ms. Smith produced the first-ever live Pinterest ambassadorship with fashion blogger Christine Martinez, the fourth most-followed Pinterest user in the world. This partnership resulted in the second highest traffic web week in the history of Calypso St. Barth’s e-commerce site.
Ms. Smith began her career in the executive training program of Macy’s. Since then, she has risen to key merchandising roles at J. Crew and Lucky Brand, and was Senior Vice President of West Elm before joining Calypso St. Barth.
Ms. Smith holds a bachelor’s of science degree from The Ohio State University.
