Julie Bornstein is a Senior Vice-President at Sephora, the leading beauty retailer in the U.S. and Europe. Ms. Bornstein runs Sephora Digital, which includes Sephora.com, Beauty Insider (Sephora’s loyalty program), social media, and mobile.
Prior to joining Sephora, Ms. Bornstein served as General Manager of Urban Outfitters Direct, where she built the web and catalog division into a highly productive, profitable, and strong direct business.
Before Urban, Ms. Bornstein was Vice President of E-Commerce for Nordstrom from 2000 to 2005, joining as the retailer launched its first website. At Nordstrom, Ms. Bornstein oversaw
merchandising, marketing, creative, and customer experience for the website and catalog.
Ms. Bornstein started her career in merchandising at DKNY. She also worked in business development at Starbucks and in investment banking at Robertson Stephens.
Ms. Bornstein sits on the board of directors for TheFind.com, a start-up technology company. She has a bachelor’s degree and M.B.A. from Harvard.
