Tan Le
Tan Le is a technology entrepreneur and is Founder & CEO of Emotiv Lifesciences, a bioinformatics company which lies at the intersection of cloud computing, huge data sets, mobile brain imaging technology and highly contextualized, personal data. She was a Special Visitor to the United Kingdom as a guest of the British High Commission and Foreign Commonwealth Office, a Goodwill Ambassador for Australia in Asia, and a Patron of the Australian Youth Ambassadors for Development Program. Tan has been an Ambassador for the Status of Women since 2001 and was awarded Young Australian of the Year in 1998. She was honoured by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader since 2009. Born in Vietnam, Tan migrated to Australia as a refugee with her family in 1981. Tan started studying at Monash University at the age of 16. She went on to complete a combined Bachelor of Commerce/Laws (Honours).
