Jennifer Carroll
Jennifer Carroll is the chef de cuisine of 10 Arts Bistro & Lounge by Eric Ripert in
Philadelphia, Pa. Carroll is also well-known for starring on Bravo's award-winning
television show Top Chef Las Vegas and Top Chef All Stars. Born and raised in
Philadelphia, Ms. Carroll has contributed her talents to numerous restaurants, including
Eric Ripert's prestigious Le Bernardin.
When 10 Arts opened, Ms. Carroll was personally
selected by Mr. Ripert to lead the kitchen. Ms. Carroll creates menus of modern
American cuisine with an emphasis on local ingredients.
Jeff Gordinier
Jeff Gordinier joined the New York Times in January 2011 as a Dining reporter. He is the author of X Saves the World, which drew acclaim from writers such as Nick Hornby and Douglas Rushkoff. He has written for a variety of magazines and newspapers, including Details, Esquire, GQ, Elle, Spin, Creative Nonfiction, Outside, The Los Angeles Times, PoetryFoundation.org and Entertainment Weekly. His work has been included
in anthologies such as Best American Nonrequired Reading, Best Food Writing, and Best Creative Nonfiction.
Eric Ripert
Eric Ripert is the chef and co-owner of the New York restaurant Le Bernardin, which
ranks 18 on the S. Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurants list. The celebrated restaurant
holds three stars from the Michelin Guide, a "29" food rating from the 2011 Zagat Guide,
the highest of any restaurant in the city, and has upheld a four-star review from The New
York Times for over two decades. It has never dropped a star throughout four reviews,
and is the only restaurant to maintain four stars for that length of time.
In addition, Mr.
Ripert has partnered with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company to open restaurants at various
destinations including Blue in Grand Cayman, Westend Bistro in Washington D.C., and
10 Arts Bistro in Philadelphia. He is chair of City Harvest’s Food Council, a New York-
based food rescue organization, as well as a recipient of the Legion d’Honneur, France’s
highest honor. He serves as a regular guest judge on "Bravo’s Top Chef" and is the host
of his own Emmy-award winning PBS TV series "Avec Eric," currently in its second
season.
Mr. Ripert is the author of four cookbooks, including Avec Eric, On the Line, A
