Obie Fernandez
Charlie founded Next Jump in 1994. While building Next Jump from the
ground up, he gained professional experience working in the Information
Technology and Human Resources groups of Morgan Stanley in New York,
Hong Kong and Tokyo from 1995 to 1997. He returned to Boston in April
1997 to grow the Next Jump brand full-time. In order to expand Next Jump
from a one-person operation to a multi-layered corporation, he
successfully raised millions in independent investments from Wall
Street's most influential players. He graduated with Honors from Tufts
University where he earned a B.S. in Computer Science and a B.A. in
Quantitative Economics. Charlie resides in Manhattan with his wife, Ella
and son, Jackson.
Mario Herger
Mario Herger is a Senior Innovation Strategist at SAP Labs in Palo Alto, California and global head of the Gamification Initiative at SAP. He has worked in the past on a series of new SAP products and drives several communities around innovative topics at SAP. He has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Vienna University of Technology and an undergraduate degree in International Business Management. Maksim Ovsyannikov
Maksim Ovsyannikov is VP of Product Management at Rypple. Maksim is widely recognized as a thought leader and as an innovative strategist in the area of Human Capital Management. He is a frequent speaker and has published numerous articles related to next generation thinking in the areas of People Management, Human Capital Management, Social Networking and Collaboration. Maksim holds a Bachelors Degree in Economics from Stanford University, a Master's of Science Degree in Engineering Management from Santa Clara University and an MBA from the Leavy School of Business at Santa Clara University. As an innovative product evangelist in the software industry, Maksim has a passion for making social software business relevant, and an aspiration for beautifully simple SaaS products. Maksim is currently the VP of Product Management at Rypple. His past roles included product management and product strategy positions at Zendesk, IBM, ADP and Saba.
Byron Reeves
Byron Reeves is the Paul C. Edwards Professor in Stanford University's Department of Communication, and is Faculty Director of the Stanford Media X Program that organizes research and relationships between industry and Stanford IT researchers. An expert on the psychological processing of media in the areas of attention, emotions, and physiological responses, Byron has published over one hundred research reports about media psychology. He is co-founder of Seriosity, Inc., a company working on applications of multi-player game technology to enterprise software and productivity, and is co-author (with Leighton Read) of Total Engagement: Using Game and Virtual Worlds to Change the Way People Work and Businesses Compete.
Kes Sampanthar
Kes Sampanthar leads the media strategy team and innovation lab at Cynergy Systems, an award winning concept, design and development agency. He has over 15 years in the software industry moving from academic research in artificial intelligence to developing engaging applications for the media and entertainment industry. He is a game designer and award winning inventor of ThinkCube; an innovation game/tool for businesses. His latest research into game design, neuroscience, behavioral economics and paleoanthropology has lead to his development of a ‘Motivational Design Framework’ that has been used to create engaging experiences for some of the largest web properties; most recently eBay.
