R.K. Anand
R.K. Anand is the Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Data Center Business Unit (DCBU), where he leads the strategy, development, and delivery, of data center innovations including Juniper’s Stratus Project, a core offering of the new network.
Prior to this role, he served as Executive Vice President of Foundation Technologies and led the development of critical technology including company-wide silicon efforts, unified network management, and JUNOS Software, the operating system behind Juniper's competitive differentiation. Mr. Anand was one of Juniper's first employees, joining the company in 1996 as an ASIC designer, and subsequently taking on management roles including Vice President of Hardware Engineering for the Infrastructure Products Group (IPG).
Between 2004 and 2006, he took time away from Juniper to found Xsigo Systems, a Kleiner-Perkins and Greylock Ventures funded start-up, where he served as Vice President of Engineering. Prior to joining Juniper, Mr. Anand held engineering and management responsibilities in the microprocessor division at Sun Microsystems. He holds a master of science degree in computer engineering from Syracuse University.
Justine Thody
Justine Thody is Editorial Director for the Economist Group's Brand Innovation Businesses, covering thought leadership and events in the Americas and based in New York. She regularly speaks at conferences and to international media, chairing discussions and taking the Economist Group's views on economic, political and business developments throughout the world to senior-level audiences.
Thody is one of the Economist Group's leading experts on Latin America, having until recently directed the Latin America team of editors and economists of the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), the country forecasting arm of the Economist Group, based in London. Before joining the Economist Group in 1998, Thody worked first as a business analyst for McKinsey & Company, a management consultancy, and then as a political and security risk analyst for Control Risks Group, an international business risk consultancy.
