Matthew Bishop
Matthew Bishop is the U.S. business editor and New York bureau chief of The Economist. His new book, The Road from Ruin: How to Renew Capitalism and Put America Back on Top, with Michael Green, was published by Crown in February 2010. Philanthrocapitalism, his previous book (also with Mr. Green) was on the global revolution under way in philanthropy. Mr. Bishop is also the author of Essential Economics, The Economist's official layperson's guide to economics. Mr. Bishop is the author of several of The Economist's special report supplements, most recently "A Bigger World," which examines the opportunities and challenges accompanying the rise of emerging economies and firms. Before joining The Economist, Mr. Bishop was on the faculty of London Business School.
Naveen Jain
Naveen Jain is an entrepreneur, philanthropist and a technology pioneer. He is founder of World Innovation Institute, Moon Express, Intelius and InfoSpace. Jain is trustee of the board at X Prize Foundation and Singularity University. He is a member of Pacific Council on International Policy and Explorer Club. Sally Osberg
As CEO and President of the Skoll Foundation, Sally Osberg leads the organization's team in advancing systemic change to benefit communities around the world by investing in, connecting and celebrating social entrepreneurs.
A leader in the social sector for more than 20 years, she was formerly Executive Director of the Children's Discovery Museum (CDM) of San Jose, which she guided from its inception to national recognition. She sits on the boards of CDM, the John Gardner Center and the Oracle Education Foundation.
Ms. Osberg earned her M.A. in literature from the Claremont Graduate School and her B.A. in English from Scripps College, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. The American Leadership Forum has awarded her the John Gardner Leadership Award, and the San Jose Mercury News has recognized her as one of the individuals who have shaped and led Silicon Valley.
Sonal Shah
Sonal Shah heads the White House Domestic Policy Council’s Office of Social Innovation and Civic Participation. She also served on President Obama's Transition Board overseeing the Technology, Innovation, Government Reform working group.
Prior to joining the White House, Shah led Google's global development efforts, focusing on transparency, openness, civic participation, and entrepreneurship development, especially financial access.
Before joining Google, she was Vice President at Goldman Sachs, Inc, where she developed and implemented the firm's environmental strategy.
Shah received her MA in Economics from Duke University and BA in Economics from the University of Chicago. She is an Aspen Crown Fellow and a Next Generation Fellow.
Christine Eibs Singer
Christine Eibs Singer is co-founder and chief executive officer of E + Co. Singer is responsible for the vision and strategy behind ECo’s mission to create energy enterprises that alleviate poverty and protect the planet. She has over 20 years of experience in the successful implementation of public-private partnerships and regularly shares her knowledge and best practices with other thought leaders in this sector.
