I AM FRENCH AND LIVE IN PARIS. NEVER HEARD OF LORRY-MORRE BEFORE. NEVERTHELESS I VERY MUCH ENJOY LORRY-MOORE'S WITTY AND TRUE COMMENTS ON WHAT IT TAKES TO LIVE A WRITING LIFE, AND AN ACTUAL CREATIVE AND RESPONSIBLE ONE. I WILL READ HER, FOR SURE. BY THE WAY, AT A VERY YOUNG AGE, I HAVE CHOSEN TO HAVE A CHILDLESS LIFE AND TO MAKE A LIVING BESIDES MY PASSION FOR LITTERATURE. MANY THINGS SHE SAYS SOUND SO GOOD COMMON SENSE, WHICH DOES NOT MEAN ORDINARY BUT CAUTIOUS AND REALISTIC, AND MOREOVER NEVER SAID!! WRITING AIMS TO CREATE A WORLD, NOT TO DISPLAY ONESELF, EVEN IF WE REMAIN THE ONE BEHIND THE CURTAIN : SHE WAS FANSTASTICALLY CLEAR ON THAT OUTLOOK. I DID NOT UNDERSTAND ALL THE NAME OF WRITERS SHE MENTIONED. I AGREE WITH afsnyc's above COMMENT : SHE LOOKS AS MUCH STRONG AS SENSITIVE.THANK YOU FOR HAVING HER IN THE FESTIVAL.

There's no one like Lorrie Moore--gracious, keen, quick-witted, present, unpretentious. We need more Moores.
