Hi Yesterday the 4th round of sanctions, vote was 22 to 3, Russia and China voted for sanctions, which the USA worked hard for! Over the week end Obama got the green light to attack Iran, Nuke sites. this force on Iran could bring the Sunnis and Shiětes together against Israel, common enemy. WW3 it only took one bullet to start the WW1. Could the USA bomb themselves too warrant an attack, vietnam and Lusitana self inflicted wounds, blame others, some-many think 911 was an inside job to promote USA foreign policy, lot has happened since this discussion. Israel representative is right reality has a death clause. Thanks.

I have been reading extensively on the situation in the middle in regards to specifically the US. What I have seen is that most signs point to Iran. Robert Baer's book "The Devil We Know" offers some interesting ideas about just how Iran has evolved from "terrorist" sponsor into a tactically and strategically viable entity via proxy war, Lebanon as their learning base for how to conduct proxy wars and exert influence. Another thing that astounds me is the fundamental lack of understanding of Iranian dynamics and mindset by many western people. This video in particular shows to me the desperation of Israel, because the US and others are increasingly wary of anything that could lead to military action, so the potential is there for the Us to use actions Israel takes to distance itself, enforcing it's position in the middle east. Finally, in summary, Iran is already the new superpower of the region, and either the west will seek diplomatic solutions, or we will go to sanctions, which are nothing less than a precursor for war. And there is one guarantee I have found, and that is if there is military action against Iran, it will be the equivalent of WW3, if not militarily, economically, mostly because of Irans abiility to control the straight of Hormuz and therefore Iraq's and Irans oil and natural gas, and if the west flubs this one up, China and Russia will be sure to step in and take advantage of the situation. So the question becomes, does the west want a foothold in the region at least, or are they willing to basically cede it all to Iran?
