FORA.tv's Stuart Schulzke interviews Radiohead lead singer Thom Yorke at the COP15 climate summit in Copenhagen.
Although Yorke criticizes the political atmosphere, he remains optimistic that domestic pressures will force world leaders to create valuable policies. "If it's full of shit, we're going to smell it," he quips.

Thom Yorke
Thom Yorke is an English musician who is the lead singer and principal songwriter of the alternative rock group Radiohead. He mainly plays guitar and piano, but he has also played drums and bass guitar (notably during the Kid A and Amnesiac sessions). In July 2006, he released his debut solo album, "The Eraser."
Yorke has been cited among the most influential figures in the music industry; in 2002, Q Magazine named Yorke the 6th most powerful figure in music, and Radiohead were ranked #73 in Rolling Stone's "100 Greatest Artists of All Time" in 2005. Also Yorke has been cited among the greatest singers in popular music; in 2005, Blender readers voted Yorke the 18th greatest singer of all time, and in 2008 he was ranked 66th in Rolling Stone's "100 Greatest Singers of all Time."
At first I didn't know who Thom Yorke was (I am old!). I thought it was a bum off the street they interviewed to show how broad minded and inclusive they all were.
Thom Yorke is a great artist, no doubt. Like all artists they are full of contradictions. 40% reductions means 40% less touring for Radiohead?
I would like to know the carbon footprint of this edition of COP15. If it doesn't resolve anything it is a complete waste. His frustration is understandable.
This interview is fairly pointless and full of trite language, so there's not much to say about it, except for one thing:
Could the man conducting the interview be any more of an ass?
"...possibly the only guy here not wearing a suit."
Bravo, my man. As we all know, the surest means of getting a considered, meaningful response from your subject is to make him feel as uncomfortable as possible. I'm sure it also goes without saying that the opinions held by any man who doesn't happen to be wearing a suit can only be invalid, and that anyone behaving in such an absurd manner as failing to wear said suit should always expect to elicit a smirk like the one seen at 00:24 in this video.
I'm not saying Thom Yorke doesn't look difficult to take serious on matters of global climatology and the frequent failures of political discussion (he looks a bit drunk). If artists feel compelled to participate in these talks, then they should make sure they don't give their cause's opponents any ammunition. However, going out of your way, as a journalist, to ridicule someone's appearance makes you look unprofessional.

Oh, and for the poor? I would rather the earth get hotter than colder. Hot is uncomfortable, cold kills.
Dude, since you're human (I assumed you are human, my apologies if you're not), stop working with inhuman time scales. If you actually knew logic, you'd be able to reason out that hot kills a lot more efficiently than cold does. It's indirect killing (via diseases mostly), but the corpses can't tell the difference.
The only slightly redeeming part of your post is the sentence about capitalism. It's not caused by it, but so far capitalism has done a fairly good job accidentally dumping oil onto the fire. Not really anyone's fault, but the companies just have to be aware of stuff like this.
