Bio
Brian Malow
Now an accomplished stand-up comic whose career has spanned more than a decade to include performances on CBS, A&E, TechTV, and the Discovery Channel, Brian Malow turns his sharp wit upon his first love: the world of science.
Malow entertains and ignites interest in science with hysterical, thought-provoking science comedy routines about the environment, insects and viruses, evolution and extinction, the speed of light, gravity, cell phones, computers -- everything under the Sun -- and even the Sun itself!
Malow makes science funny, exciting and easily digestible for all audiences.
Quantum of Light and my Parrot.
=.
The fact number - 1.
In 1887 the Michelson-Morley experiment
showed that the speed of quantum of light is constant
in all directions regardless of the motion of the source.
(c = 299,792,458 m/sec = 1)

Paper: “ On the Electrodynamics of moving Bodies.”
Einstein’s second postulate says that
the speed of quantum of light in the vacuum
is absolute constant c=1.

Gentlemen
I have only two questions:
First -
Didn’t my parrot fly to you?
Second -
Why does everyone say that all movements are relative
if the speed of quantum of light isn’t relative but
it is an absolute constant in absolute Vacuum ?
P.S.
You can easily find out my parrot. It studied only
two sentences: ‘ there is no absolute movement ’,
‘ there is no absolute reference system ‘

‘ All these fifty years of conscious brooding have brought me
no nearer to the answer to the question, 'What are light quanta?'
Nowadays every Tom, Dick and Harry thinks he knows it,
but he is mistaken. ‘

Great, I have one more.
It is reported that Copernicus' parents said the following to him at the age of twelve: "Copernicus, young man, when are you going to come to terms with the fact that the world does not revolve around you." found it here , prof. soderberg
If you didn't get the joke, you probably didn't understand the science behind it. If this is the case, it's a chance for you to learn a little astronomy.
Yammo:
"Isn't the story of the Schrödingers cat an analogy about how quantum particles
can be in two states(aka Hyper-state) at the same time, until you measure them?"
In my opinion, Schroedinger's cat is one of the least successful attempts do extract metaphysics from physics by means of a Gedanken-experiment. Schroedinger, in order to make his argument, had to basically abandon everything that was already established about thermodynamics, which one simply needs to define the actual biological difference between living and death. He has to forget every bit he knows about ergodic theory (just as valid for quantum systems as for statistical mechanics), which tells us that the atoms of a once living cat, when kept in the perfectly insulating box of Schroedinger's experiment will eventually reconstitute themselves into a living animal indistinguishable from the one they came from, if one is just willing to wait long enough.
A proper application of these classical insights predating Schroedinger's idea by at least 50 years suggests that the whole experiment has to be analyzed differently on different time scales... which then results in a time dependent interpretation of the outcome and simply shows that QM is not a static theory (and neither is any other theory of physics...). It only makes sense if interpreted within the correct timescales on which the quantum phenomen occurs. In the end, the paradox only shows up if someone applies ridiculously false time and ensemble averages to the problem.
I am pretty sure that if macroscopic quantum states like superconductivity and superfluid He-3 had been understood well enough at the time of Schroedinger, he would probably have chosen a much, much more physical example involving a single spin quantum system coupled to a macroscopic one, for which the proper quantum ensemble behavior can actually be defined. I would really love to see a correct analysis of such a system done, once, although I am afraid that it will basically do nothing more or less than solve the same problem as the superposition of states in spin-1/2 systems, which every beginner in QM can do on a sheet of paper in an afternoon.
Does God Exist ? Prove It !
Scientific Argument for Creationism
What was before - big bang or vacuum or God?
Before Big bang was God
Why?
Because the action, when the God compressed all
Universe into his palm, physicists had named -a singular point
And action, when the God opened his palm,
physicists had named - the Big Bang
The Catholic Church adopted theory of
Big Bang as a good proof of God existing
And Pope Pius XII declared this in 1951

About Electron.
One professor asked a student:
“ What is an electron?”
“ Ah, God damn it! I have forgotten. And in fact even in the
morning I knew it. ”- the student answered.
“ You should recollect it without fail, - professor said –
because you were the unique person who knew, what
electron was, and you had suddenly forgotten!”

About Schrodinger's cat.
Physics law says that no energy can be created or destroyed
but can be changed from one state to the another.
So, according to " The Law of Conservation and Transformation
of Energy/ Mass" Schrodinger's cat cannot die.
