Heather Armstrong - Creator of the website, dooce.com, her personal site and blog that became hugely popular. She now has two books, Things I Learned About My Dad: In Therapy published in 2008, and It Sucked and Then I Cried: How I Had a Baby, a Breakdown, and a Much Needed Margarita in March 2009.
It Sucked and Then I Cried made it onto the New York Times Bestseller list.
I think that it was filed under technology because it's following that phenomenon of the from blog-to-book. It is an interesting use of technology but I agree that the talk wasn't exactly technology focused.
