Panelists include: T. Alexander Aleinikoff has been Dean of the Georgetown University Law Center since 2004. He has written widely on immigration, refugee and citizenship law and policy. He served as co-chair of the Immigration Policy Team for the Obama transition. Bessy Blanco is a lawyer from El Salvador who migrated to Australia in 1998 due to civil war. She is the Community Outreach Specialist and Membership Coordinator at the Central American Resource Center. Charles M. Feinberg has been the associate rabbi Adas Israel Congregation since 2006. He is vice-chair of Rabbis for Human Rights-North America. Melanie Nezer is the Senior Director of U.S. Programs and Advocacy for the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS) in Washington, DC. David Shahoulian serves as counsel to the House Judiciary Committee, where he is dedicated to the Subcommittee on Immigration, Citizenship, Refugees, Border Security and International Law.
