At last year's eComm conference frog design's CEO Mark Rolston talked about the singularity. The emerging power of software as the key driver of the mobile handset experience.
Today the iPhone is a smashing success, Google is quickly positioning Android as the OS of choice, and carriers are getting into the game, finally taking control of their networks and the experiences they offer.
Everything we know now will change.

Wow this is definitely an interesting one. Mark Rolston had covered some crucial problems in this speech. I am working in mobile industry for many years so it is interesting and useful to listen some predictions where mobile sector will move after few years or more. Mobile technology is getting smarter with every single day, we can see smart iPhones available to everyone now. They are like small computers. It looks like iPhone have everything that mobile phone can actually have. BUT. I am 100% sure that after two years iPhone will be only and old useless toy and we will have something smarter and more functional in our hands (Unless iPhone will get smarter and more functional after few years too). I mean technology is moving so fast that it is hard to imagine what will the world look like after 10 or 20 years. I think we shouldn't make any predictions about it better. The situation that we have now is: iPhone in the market, various stuff like Fun Sounds Ringtones or other types of ringtones available, many apps for various platforms like Android, iPhone platform or Palm pre and so on. Let's wait and see how it goes after few years. Thanks one more time for the interesting video and I will be waiting for more nice ones from you in the nearest future for sure. Thanks!
