I primarily use the site to download videos to use on my ipod for later viewing.
For that purpose, the new site is quite cumbersome and seems even slower. I wish there was a "Fora Express" download page for those of us who want to skip the fru fru and cut to the chase. A list of available programs in each category with short descriptions on the left and corresponding download links on the right would be ideal.
+1 for this! I'm a technomad and I often find myself on a lower bandwidth connection. The solution is to leave a video downloading and watch it later, but right now I need to go to each video page - where it starts playing and sapping my bandwidth - and click several times to get the download started. Oh yeah, did I mention that to even get to the "Downloads" section the link uses Javascript, so I have to wait for the *entire* page to load before I can even find the download link!
I guess the new look is ok, but I am also much more fond of a 'light' look (personal preference - the topics around here are usually serious enough without this kind of heavy gray color on top of things).

Anyway, the content here is superb and I salute you for making this amazing resource available to all of us.
I registered only yesterday, while I've been visiting for a few months now. I'm a design student, and I was pondering over the old design just this week. The site looks and functions much better than before. Nicely done.
Perhaps the logo could be worked on a little though - even if it's just a slight alteration to the kerning.
