Bio
Dr. Michaela Neumeister
Dr. Michaela Neumeister is Phillips, de Pury & Company's art head for the German -speaking countries. A Resident of Munich, Dr. Neumeister was most recently Managing Director of Neumeister Auctions, in Munich, after gaining experience at major auction houses in London (Christi's), New York (Sothebys) and Paris (Tajan) She was assistant to the organized the Munich Art Fair as well as other art-related organizations, and presently is a consultant to various museums and art groups as well as she is on boards of the Haus der Kunst, Munich, Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt, Tel Aviv Museum, Germany.
Dr. Neumeister has studied art in Germany, Italy and France. She earned her PhD from the University of Hamburg in 1994.
Wolfram Putz
Wolfram Putz studied Architecture in Germany at the Technische University Braunschweig, the University of Utah, Salt Lake City and received his Master at the Southern Californian Institute of Architecture, USA.
In 1998 Wolfram Putz established GRAFT in Los Angeles together with Thomas Willemeit and Lars Krackeberg. GRAFT has won numerous national and international awards and garnered international fame with a wide-spread following throughout its 10 year existence. GRAFT today employs 120 architects and artists worldwide.
Michael Schindhelm
Cultural consultant, writer, dramaturge and theatre expert Michael Schindhelm is a quantum chemist by education and profession. He also brings 18 years of experience managing some of Europe's most respected theatre companies to his current position as Director of Dubai's Culture and Arts Authority.
From 2005 to 2007, Michael was CEO of the the Stiftung Oper in Berlin, the world's largest opera group, with 2000 employees and a budget of 145 million Euros.
He was CEO of Theater Basel for 10 years from 1996 to 2006,overseeing co-productions and tours throughout the world. During his tenure, the Theater was awarded the Bavarian Theatre Prize twice, and also named Theater of the year for Germany, Austria and Switzerland in 1999.
Michael has directed several documentary film projects on music and culture in Asia, and was host of an arts and culture television programme, Der Salon, from 2003-2005.
A published author, Michael’s work includes two novels, two opera librettos, several plays and non-fiction works, numerous essays and articles for the German, Swiss and Austrian press, and translations of various Russian plays. He speaks German, English, Russian and Italian.
Thomas Willemeit
Thomas Willemeit studied architecture at the Technical University Braunschweig where he graduated as Dipl.-Eng. Arch. and the Bauhaus Dessau, masterclass in architecture and urban planning. Besides his successful career in the architectural field, he won numerous national prizes as a violin player and a chorister.
