Linda Hill
Linda A. Hill is the Wallace Brett Donham Professor of Business Administration in the organizational behavior area at the Harvard Business School, where she chairs the Leadership Initiative and serves on the faculty of the Leadership Best Practices program.
Her publications include Becoming a Manager: How New Managers Master the Challenges of Leadership. She is also the author of e-college course modules on management as well as several multimedia management development programs.
Her consulting and executive education activities are in the areas of managing change and cross-organizational relationships, globalization, career management, and leadership development. Her current projects focus on leading in emerging markets and leadership as collective genius. She serves on the advisory board of the Aspen Institute Business and Society Program.
Shephard Hill
Shephard Hill is president of Boeing International and a member of the company's executive council. He oversees international affairs and has leadership responsibilities for twenty Boeing in-country operations throughout the world.
Previously, he was Boeing’s senior vice president of business development and strategy, vice president of business development at Boeing Integrated Defense Systems, vice president of Boeing Space and Communications government relations, and vice president of space systems for the Integrated Space and Defense Systems business unit.
He has also served as Rockwell's vice president for aerospace government affairs and marketing and as chief of staff and legislative director to Congressman Bill Chappell (D-FL).
John Manzoni
John Manzoni is president and CEO of Talisman Energy Inc.
An experienced international oil and gas executive, he served previously as chief executive of refining and marketing for the BP Group and held increasingly senior strategic and operational leadership positions in a number of businesses at the global, regional, and local levels.
Judith Samuelson
Judith F. Samuelson is executive director and founder of the Aspen Institute Business and Society Program, dedicated to developing leaders for a sustainable global society. She served as director of the Ford Foundation’s office of program-related investments and its social investment fund. She helped launch its corporate involvement initiative to encourage private-nonprofit partnerships and facilitate business opportunities with broad social benefits. She sits on the board of ACCION-New York, a nonprofit organization that contributes to the economic development of the New York metropolitan region by providing loans and advisory services to individuals and small businesses that do not have access to traditional sources of credit.
John Manzoni asserts that corporate social responsibility comes down to the a company's leadership's commitment to certain issues and that if the company is not being profitable while being responsible, they are wasting their time.
Linda Hill explains that around the world, capitalism is practiced in different ways, describing an example of a mortgage company in Dubai that has been successful while staying true to Islamic traditions.
