Subodh Bapat - Subodh Bapat is a vice president and distinguished engineer at Sun Microsystems, responsible for driving Sun's systems-level energy strategy. This includes energy management architectures, specifications, tools, and standards for the entire stack, from the microprocessor and system level up through the system software, including the virtualization and operating system layers.
Mr. Bapat has served as CTO for Sun's volume systems division, in which role he drove the expansion of Sun's product portfolio to include Opteron-based systems. He was responsible for the overall technology direction for Sun's blade servers, rack-mount servers, telecom-optimized servers, technical-compute servers, and workstations.
In that role, he drove architectures and strategies for next-generation system architectures, interconnects, and networking standards. Most recently, he served in Sun's software division as CTO for Sun's systems management and connected services product line.
Chris Geiger - Chris Geiger is the municipal toxics reduction coordinator at the San Francisco Department of the Environment.
Walter McGuire - Wally McGuire, an attorney by training, has spent most of his career leading environmental and social marketing projects. He is President of McGuire & Co., Inc., a public affairs firm, and President of the Environmental Policy Center, a nonprofit organization. Mr. McGuire was and remains the principal creator and manager for California's award-winning statewide "Flex Your Power" energy conservation and efficiency campaign.
Bill Weihl - Bill Weihl is currently working on clean energy at Google. Before joining Google in early 2006, he was CTO at Akamai Technologies, where he led efforts to provide customers with more powerful computing capabilities on edge servers.
He has also worked on distributed and parallel computing and on cpu architecture, first as a professor at MIT and then as a researcher at DEC's Systems Research Center (SRC).
