Bio

Jane Smiley

Jane Smiley is the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of A Thousand Acres and more than ten other works of fiction, as well as three works of nonfiction, including a critically acclaimed biography of Charles Dickens. In 2001 she was inducted into the American Academy of Arts and Letters.

Janice Wright

Janice Wright has been in Bay Area broadcasting for over 20 years, as a news anchor and reporter. A Los Angeles native, she got her first news job in San Jose, after doing an internship program for the San Jose State University Broadcast Journalism program. She also met her husband of 19 years while covering a story in San Jose, fellow KCBS news reporter Mike Sugerman.
