Trading Nuclear Secrets: Pakistan and the A.Q. Khan Network with Adrian Levy and Catherine Scott-Clark
In Deception: Pakistan, the United States and the Secret Trade in Nuclear Weapons, Adrian Levy and Cathy Scott-Clark reveal the three-decade story of A. Q. Khan and Pakistan's nuclear program. In 1975 A. Q. Khan, a young Pakistani scientist working in Holland, stole top-secret blueprints for a revolutionary new process to arm a nuclear bomb to provide Pakistan with a counter to India's recently unveiled nuclear device. However, over time that limited objective evolved into the world's largest clandestine network engaged in selling nuclear secrets to Iran, North Korea, and Libya. Levy and Scott-Clark bring together a decade of research and interviews in the most complete account of Pakistan's illicit nuclear program.- World Affairs Council of Northern California
