October 13th has been designated Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, in an effort to focus public attention on this significant, under served breast cancer population. The Metastatic Breast Cancer Network (MBCN), along with Young Survival Coalition, and in conjunction with NYU Cancer Institute, host an educational conference devoted solely to the treatment and concerns of people living with advanced breast cancer. Featured speakers include NYU Medical Center doctors Amy Tiersten and Deborah Axelrod.
