---"Although the Paris ambulances are equipped similar to an ER, it can not give the care a trauma center ER could give. Diana needed a thoracic surgeon and diagnostic tools which were not available in the ambulance...People having a heart attack are driven quickly to the hospital so they could get proper treatment."---

actually, that is exactly how the French do things. It is one of the reasons why they have the greatest overall rated health care system in the world. My family lived in France for 17 years & my sister trained as an EMT, & was pretty surprised at how things were done vs. the good ole' USA (our home country). Aside from having actual Doctors on board Emergency Vehicles & also having Doctors with their own areas of a particular city to be on call for any Emergency, they also have EMTs "on patrol" 24/7 throughout major cities for any medical Emergency. The vehicles are certainly "portable" Emergency rooms with all of the most advanced equipment.

The fact that the majority of the World's EMT/Emergency Vehicles do not operate this way (especially in the USA), prevents people from comprehending it.

I'm not sure about the speed of the vehicle with the regard to Diana's heart stopping, or whether or not she need a thoracic surgeon. Perhaps the vehicle moving at all prevented the EMTs on board the vehicle from doing anything properly with the equipment on board without stopping.

Very much enjoyed listening to this interview.

I disagree with Ms. Brown's comments about how fast Diana's car was going and Diana's medical treatment. Brown states the car was going 75 mph and she down played the Fiat striking the Mercedes. In reality the Mercedes was going 60 mph (still speeding) and Henri Paul lost control because of the impact from the Fiat. He over compensated.

Although the Paris ambulances are equipped similar to an ER, it can not give the care a trama center ER could give. Diana needed a thoracic surgeon and diagnostic tools which were not available in the ambulance.

Ms. Brown also stated that the ambulance had to drive slowly because of the fear that Diana's heart would stop if they drove too fast. That is the most ridiculous statement I ever heard. Everyone knows that the quicker a person gets to a hospital the better the outcome and to think that driving quickly would somehow cause a persons heart to stop is silly. People having a heart attack are driven quickly to the hospital so they could get proper treatment.
