Hugo Restall
Hugo Restall became the editor of the Far Eastern Economic Review in October 2004, and is also a member of the editorial board of The Wall Street Journal. In 2004 he was posted in New York and wrote editorials for The Wall Street Journal about the presidential campaign and the U.S. economy. From 1999 to 2003, he was editorial page editor of The Asian Wall Street Journal. At the AWSJ, he managed a team of three editorial writers, solicited signed opinion pieces and wrote editorials on Asia that also appeared in The Wall Street Journal and The Wall Street Journal Europe. Mr. Restall first joined the AWSJ in April 1994 as an editorial page writer.

Professor Richard Welford
Richard Welford is Deputy Director of the Corporate Environmental Governance Programme and Visiting Professor of Sustainable Management at the Norwegian School of Management. He is the author of twelve books and over 60 refereed papers on environmental management and related issues. His recent books include The Earthscan Reader in Business and Sustainable Development (Earthscan, 2000), Corporate Environmental Management 3: Towards Sustainable Development (Earthscan, 1998), and Hijacking Environmentalism: Corporate Responses to Sustainable Development (Earthscan, 1997).
Richard is an economist by background with a PhD from the University of Warwick, UK. As well as being an academic he has business and consultancy experience. He has worked closely with a number of firms including Joseph Dawson Ltd., TXU Europe, The Samsung Corporation, British Telecom, the MTR Corporation and the Swire Group of Companies. He is a member of the Economic and Social Research Council in the UK and has acted as an advisor to the United Nations.
