Dr. David Kerns - David Kerns was educated at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and Northwestern University School of Medicine. His career as a pediatrician has been largely devoted to the care of abused and neglected children.
He is currently Adjunct Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Stanford University School of Medicine. He is also the Medical Director for the Center for Child Protection, Department of Pediatrics, at the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose, California, where he has served over the years as Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics and Chief Medical Officer. In addition, he was a Resident Scholar at the Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Study Center.
Dr. Kerns has published 35 academic journal articles as well as essays and book chapters in the field of pediatrics. He recently published Standard of Care: A Novel.
