Reverend Barbara Rossing
The Rev. Barbara R. Rossing, Th.D., professor of New Testament at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, is the author of The Rapture Exposed: The Message of Hope in The Book of Revelation. She has lectured, preached, and published widely and has appeared on CBS television.
Before joining the seminary faculty in 1994, she served a congregation in Minnesota, was assistant and acting director for Global Mission Interpretation for the American Lutheran Church, pastor at Holden Village Retreat Center, Chelan, Washington, and chaplain at Harvard University Divinity School.
She earned her master of divinity degree from Yale Divinity School and her doctor of theology degree from Harvard.
