Following award presentations, President Bush gives a humorous speech touching on several recent news stories on his administration. Entertainment is provided by improvisation comedians Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood who include members of the audience, including White House advisor Karl Rove, in sketch comedy routines. The evening's events also include a tribute to retiring House Radio and TV Gallery director Tina Tate and a special video produced for the dinner by JibJab.com.

Bill Plante has served as the CBS News White House correspondent during the administrations of Ronald Reagan (beginning in 1981), Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush.
During the administration of the first President Bush, he was CBS News' State Department correspondent (1989-92).
Plante's reports are seen regularly on The Early Show, where he is Senior White House Correspondent, and the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric.
Karl Rove
Karl Rove is Assistant to the President, Deputy Chief of Staff and a Senior Advisor.
Prior to his current appointment, Rove served as chief strategist for the Bush-Cheney 2000 Presidential campaign and as president of Karl Rove and Company, an Austin, Texas-based public affairs firm. He previously served as a member of the Board of International Broadcasting, which oversees operations of Radio Free Europe and Radio Liberty, and served on the board of the McDonald Observatory. Karl also taught at the LBJ School of Public Affairs and in the Journalism Department at the University of Texas at Austin.
Brian Wilson
Brian Wilson is the vice-president and bureau chief for Washington, D.C., FOX News Channel. A former anchor for FNC's "Weekend Live," Wilson joined FNC in 1998.
Previously, Wilson was a congressional correspondent for FNC, reporting on congressional elections and breaking news on Capitol Hill. In this capacity, Wilson covered the confirmation hearings of Chief Justice John Roberts and Associate Justice Samuel A. Alito to the United States Supreme Court. Wilson has also reported extensively on congressional scandals, including the trial of Duke Cunningham and the legal challenges of Tom DeLay.
Bob Woodruff
Bob Woodruff is an ABC News anchor who has covered major stories throughout the country and around the world for the network. On January 29, 2006, while reporting on US and Iraqi security forces, Woodruff was seriously injured by a roadside bomb that struck his vehicle near Taji, Iraq. Just 13 months after being wounded in Iraq and undergoing brain surgery, Woodruff returned to ABC News with his first on-air report, "To Iraq and Back: Bob Woodruff Reports." The hour-long, primetime documentary chronicled his traumatic brain injury (TBI), his painstaking recovery, and the plight of thousands of service members returning from Iraq and Afghanistan with similar injuries. In February 2007, Woodruff and his wife, Lee, co-wrote the memoir In an Instant, chronicling his injuries in Iraq and how their family persevered through a time of intense trauma and uncertainty. The Woodruff family also established the Bob Woodruff Family Fund for Traumatic Brain Injury (BWFF) to raise money for members of the military who need cognitive rehabilitation and care following traumatic brain injuries while on duty to their country. Woodruff has also been part of ABC News’ coverage recognized with the Alfred I. DuPont Award and the George Foster Peabody Award, the two highest honors in broadcast journalism.
