No, Morales is not a democrat. He is a democratically elected President, no question about that, but he is not a democrat. He does not abide by the rule of law, does not respect monirities, does not tolerate disidence and uses the political and economic clout of the government to crush his opponents. Adolf Hitler also "used" democracy to gain power, but he was not a democrat. So... do not get confused. We must judge politicians by what the do, not by what they say or where they come...

Welcome to FORA. Yes, Morales is a Democrat. He was nomination was fair and clear. Morales's running of the country is what makes some "uneasy".
