Bio
David G. Campbell
David G. Campbell is a United States District Court Judge for the District of Arizona. He was appointed by President Bush in 2003. Following graduation from the University of Utah College of Law, Judge Campbell served as a law clerk for Judge J. Clifford Wallace of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and Justice William H. Rehnquist of the United States Supreme Court.
He then practiced as a commercial litigator with the Phoenix, Arizona law firms of Osborn Maledon and Meyer, Hendricks, Victor, Osborn and Maledon, and taught as an adjunct professor of law at the Arizona State University and J. Reuben Clark law schools. Judge Campbell is a member of the Advisory Committee on the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
Jay T. Jorgensen
Jay T. Jorgensen is a partner and litigator in the Washington, D.C., office of Sidley, Austin LLP. His practice involves representing individuals and corporations in all phases of complex civil and criminal litigation. Mr. Jorgensen has represented pharmaceutical and food production companies in criminal and qui tam cases at every stage of development, from undercover and internal investigations to grand jury proceedings to trial.
Mr. Jorgensen's practice has also included civil and criminal appeals for individuals and businesses before numerous federal circuit courts and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Jorgensen served as a law clerk to William H. Rehnquist, Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, and Judge Samuel A. Alito, Jr., at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Hannah C. Smith
Hannah C. Smith recently finished serving as a law clerk to Associate Justice Samuel A. Alito, Jr. on the U.S. Supreme Court during the 2005 Term. She also clerked for Justice Clarence Thomas on the U.S. Supreme Court during the 2003 Term.
Ms. Smith received her A.B. from Princeton University in 1995, concentrating in the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. She received her J.D. from Brigham Young University Law School in 2001. Following law school, she and her husband John clerked together for Judge Samuel A. Alito, Jr. on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Ms. Smith served as a full-time missionary in the Switzerland Geneva Mission. She currently serves as Relief Society President in her ward.
Karl M. Tilleman
Karl M. Tilleman is a partner in the Phoenix office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP. As a partner in the Commercial Litigation Group, his practice focuses on litigating and providing general representation to corporate and individual clients in matters related to contractual and warranty disputes, insurance coverage and bad faith, construction, environmental, and other commercial disputes. His clients include leaders in the insurance, manufactured-housing, construction, and mining industries.
Dean Kevin Worthen
Kevin Worthen is Dean of the J. Reuben Clark School of Law at Brigham Young University. Prior to his appointment in 2004, Dean Worthen served as the law school's associate dean for academic affairs since 1999. Dean Worthen currently serves as chair of the Utah State Constitutional Revision Commission, and he is a member of the Arizona State Bar Association, the Inter-American Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association.
